Incase OP is wondering what osteoclast is..

Osteoclast

-multi nucleate cells that break bones by breaking its mineralized matrix.
-if the body needs calcium, osteoclastic activity occurs to break bones and release the calcium into the blood
-osteoclast cells are made by fusion of macrophage cells
-and PTH stimulates osteoclast activity
 
It also decreases Ca2+ absorption at the intestines, as well as decreases reabsorption at the kidney level. With all three of these things working together it will essentially stop Ca release from osteoclastic activities, and increase the amount of Ca excreted from the body since you are decreasing both its absorption and reabsorption at the intestinal and kidney levels.
