What is the effect of calcium channel blocker and beta blocker on preload? Do they tend to increase the preload or the preload will remain the same? Does preload correspond to intraventricular stress?

It depends on the condition and the drug.

Non-dihydropyridines are myocaridal selective so minimal effects on preload. Dihydropyridine CCBs are going to cause vasodilation (a>v) which will decrease preload, although usually more effects on afterload.

In terms of beta blockers it depends on whether it is selective or non-selective (ie interacts with B2 or alpha1 or not). Overall, the effects on preload are mild. It is more cardiac output and afterload effects.
