I have heard that your science gpa calculated by aacomas tends to be higher than the same science gpa calculated by amcas. Is this true, and if so does anyone know why?

Only if you have retakes. Amcas averages the two grades if one class has been retaken, while aacomas gives you credit for the retaken class only.

It depends on the individual's grades. AMCAS counts math in the science GPA, AACOMAS doesn't. If you're a math whiz, AMCAS's method helps your GPA. If you're not, AACOMAS's method helps.

Thanks for clearing that up for me! I wish AACOMAS would add math to the sciences.
