Hi Everyone,
I was working on my app and have a question about calc. gpa their way. I go to a university where they give A+,A,A-,B+, B, B- etc. which column do you pick to convert it? Alot of the columns had AB? Thanks for clearing up the confusion!

Contact the AACPM or a schools admission department, you don't want to make a mistake. Most deans will not accept, "But someone told me to do it this way on SDN," as an acceptable excuse.

its on the application, it tells you how to convert:

use what your school uses... you probably use the standard type which is plus minus regular grades
if your school doesnt give AB or BC or CD or DF then you probably wouldnt use it

contact AACPM, or use an advisor at your school to help if u want

k I had looked at it and figured the Standard but since it didn't show A just A+ and A- I didn't know if they consider A+/A as the same 4.0.

im pretty sure a regular A (not A+ or A- or AB) is a 4.0

(I only say this b.c i see a regular B is a 3.0, C is 2.0, D is 1.0... also most places an A is 4.0, i stress most, but not all)

i would call them still

I had the same problem as you when i applied. I went to two schools one which used the letter scale like yours and one which used the 100% scale. Eventhough there is a conversion chart for the application almost all the schools had their own method of conversion and told me to disregard the chart provided. I would call the schools each individually and double check with them how they want you to convert the grades. Also make sure you write down the name of the person that tells you how to convert the grades or get it in an email just incase there is a descrepency afterwards.
