calculations on Step 1? (esp. phys)

I know that FA has several different formulas to know, but I don't recall anyone saying that there were actual calculations on the exam.

For example, FA renal phys has all the formulas for GFR, filtration fraction, RPF, etc..., so how are these kind of formulas integrated into the exam?

I had absolutely no calculations on my exam, but I talked to a few others who had some easy ones. I can't remember which ones, though.

I had to calculate an Odds Ratio (fairly easy) and a probablity (a little harder), but NO GFR calculations or other Phys calculations that I can recall.

sam here. not much in the way of calculations. I barely ever had to use pen and paper (or plastic).

No calculations on mine. I just had to use a few simple equations to predict physiologic outcomes and stuff (flow increases with a decrease in tpr, etc)
