I took calculus in high school senior year...I understand the class well enough to thrive in physics. To get into a competitive dental school like UCLA do I absolutely need to take Calculus again even with good grades and good DAT score?

What you are asking is whether or not dss, where calculus is a REQUIEREMENT, use a looser definition of the word than what is generally an universally accepted meaning.
