  1. Pre-Health (Field Undecided)
At my school, Pre-dental students are asked to take up to pre-calc and to earn a bio degree (my major) are asked to take either calc or stats.
Let me start by saying I am HORRIBLE at math. I hate it with a passion.

From searching the forum, it seems schools like harvard and such require calc but I'm not going to apply to any top tier schools. Even from the ones I am looking at, none have specifically required calculus.

Either way, which course do you recommend taking. I'm leaning towards stats, especially since I've read it has a better carry over than calc.
Thanks!

Only a handful of schools require calc, a lot more would take stats as a replacement. Use the search function to determine which schools require calc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't MOST schools require 1 SEMESTER of Calculus and 1 SEMESTER of another math (like Statistics) if you don't want to take Calc 2. For higher tier schools, like Harvard as you mentioned, required 1 YEAR (or 2 semesters) of Calculus.

Look at the ADEA book to be sure.

I think calculus would "look better" if you were to get an equal grade, however, if the schools you are applying to doesn't have a math requirement and you're better at statistics, then take that.
