Hi, i am taking calculus 1 this summer, its a 5 weeks session. So pretty much the class will go by very fast and alot of material to cover, but im not too worry about that much . What i am worry about is that some university they prefer you to take math class and science classes during the regular semester because it's harder, and the instructor can cover more materials that way? So please give me advice if i should still take it in summer or not. Thank you!

from past experiences, the classes cover the same material but you are there more per week to cover the same topics in a condensed time.

Not to scare you, but summer classes are "harder" because they cover the same amount of material as a "regular" semester. At then end of the day, if you got to a accredited college, take a class there no matter what time and get a grade, they accept it.

Yeah, I have never heard of a college looking down on summer courses. If you could take biochem over the summer and pass, you'd probably get your own special seat with a pillow on it at any pharmacy school in the country =).

They mainly are suspicious about classes taken online/distance education, and sometimes community college courses.

I would take a look at all the schools you want to apply to. I believe it's not an issue for most schools, but it is for some. I remember that some preferred that the student not take math or science courses during the summer. I suggest you look at the individual school web sites that you want to apply to. Hope this helps!
