I want to take calculus with applications to management and economics, not calculus for engineering major. Does it matter? which calculus class did you take ?

I am too lazy to call or email each schools.

I think that it WILL matter which one you take; The engineering one is a safer bet, but if I were you, I'd look into one particularly for life science majors.

I think it looks better to take the regular calculus rather than the one for accounting/life science, etc. It is perceived to be harder, but it is not. The application based calculus has too many word problems. I liked the regular (engineering) calculus better. I took both of them. The application based one was many years ago and it didn't transfer to the school where I did my undergrad. They required regular calculus for bio majors.

And also in the end, if you take Buisness Calc and regular calc, you will find out buisness calc is the SAME EXACT CLASS as regular calc only without the trig functions. I know the word "Calculus" puts the fear of death in students, but its really not that bad. If you can pass College Algebra, you can pass calculus. Good luck! 👍

i took "Calculus for Business" in fall 2002 but later found out that it was not accepted at UIC and at MWU-DG. thus, i am currently taking College Calculus I....

You can do awesome in Calculus if the professor allows you to use the TI-92 calculator. I received a D in it my first time around. I used a TI-92 my second time with a harder professor and got an A. The amount of things the calculator allows you to do is mind boggling.
