California board really slow. Please help!

Hello, I failed the CPJE with a 73 when I took it back in september then I applied to retake the exam when I found out that I failed in november and I have still not received anything from the board. It has been over 9 weeks. I have e-mailed twice and an called twice. I have only gotten generic e-mails back saying "there is a delay in application processing. we will process your application as quickly as we can." Does it seem odd to anyone that the board is taking so long? I am already a licensed pharmacist in New York. I feel like the california board has something against pharmacists that went to school out of state. Does anyone know any way to get the board to rush an application? Any special phone numbers or contacts? I'm just worried that they lost my application or something. They wont check on my specific application, they just keep saying there is a general delay. Thanks for your help. I'm just so stressed out about it.

It's not just you.

I live in California and have been waiting. I emailed them and they said they were behind in processing and should be caught up by next week. I don't know if that means we'll be hearing from them or not by next week.

The California Board of Pharmacy is understaffed...I am sure they are working as fast as they can.

thank you for telling me that. I fell better knowing it is not just me. i'm just so stressed and anxious from studying. I was supposed to be able to take the test dec. 20th and now its feb 1st. and i'm still waiting so i'm afraid i'm going to forget everything I studied back in december.

I forgot to mention - check your PSIEXAM account everyday to see if you were approved to retake the cpje.

A re-applicant told me that the approval will be online before you receive the paper notification. It'll save you some time and will let you schedule it asap as opposed to waiting for the paper notification.

I also took CPJE in Sept and failed with a 74, I applied for retake right after the day I found out I failed (in November), I received my approval letter 2 weeks after I submitted my application. So I retook my CPJE exactly 90 days after my first time. Then I waited 45 days to receive my 2nd CPJE score (thank god I passed!!). My point is you shouldn't have waited that long. Maybe it got lost in the mail or something. Good luck!!

OMG I can finally register to retake it.

I checked PSIExam today online and am eligible.

Don't need to wait for the paper notification just go check online
