I'd like to get some input regarding California schools.

I've received 5 interviews from out-of-state schools, several of which are pretty awesome (Harvard-HST MD, Northwestern MSTP, Boston MD/PhD, etc), but I haven't heard anything from California. I would appreciate if anyone could quote this message and provide information about the interview timetable for the following schools:

UC Davis
UC Irvine
UC San Diego
UC Los Angeles
UC San Francisco
University of Southern California
Stanford

Sorry about the pro-California attitude, but when everyone you know is in one place you're attached.

I was complete in early to mid august for most of the California schools and have heard from uci, ucsd, Stanford, UCSF so far. Hope that helps.

Thanks newapple! It gives me some perspective. I've received secondaries from all of the Cali schools I just haven't received any interview news. I was complete around September 25th, so later in the game. Maybe they're still reviewing apps. I found out that I was verified complete at UCSF last Friday, so at least something changed!

I applied to Stanford, UCLA, UCSD, and UCSF, all complete by late July or early August. I've interviewed at UCSD already and will go to UCLA next week. I have not heard back from UCSF because I'm applying to their Bioengineering program, which I understand to only go over applications in early December.

Stanford, however, I haven't yet heard from, and I don't know what's going on. I have limitations on when I'm able to interview, so I called them recently to ask what the status of my application was. I was told "our application process doesn't take into account when they were submitted", which I understand to mean applying early doesn't help determine when you interview. I'm really squirming on this one, so if anyone has any thoughts or knowledge on Stanford's system, I'd also really love to have some information to work with!

Thanks alacast! I also applied to UCSF's BME program so we're in the same boat on that one. By the way, I think your application is why the word "RIDICULOUS" exists. haha
