I have been reviewing all the old threads on CNUCOM ("Do people still hate CNUCOM", CNUCOM Vs. X", etc.) and seen a lot of negative feedback about the school.

With their for-profit status, pending accreditation, and their recent 2020 match list, how do people feel about this school now? Will Step 1's change to pass/fail change affect this school at all? Should a student pick a top tier DO school over CNUCOM? Has their reputation improved since their inception? Does anyone have any additional information about this school?

No. You've summarized it.
Thanks for the prompt reply. Would there be any reason this school fails to secure the final stages of accreditation? In the event the school can't become accredited, what would happen to the current or prospective students?

For reasons that remain obscure, the LCME has allowed this school to continue practices that would have put any of the rest of us on probation. Since I have no way of understanding their logic up to now, there is no way to predict what they may do. That said, Northstate does not appear to be doing anything worse than what they have been doing so there is no reason to believe that they will lose accreditation.

Would you be able to elaborate on some of these practices or refer me to the appropriate resources for more information?

I'd rather not repeat all of them.
Let's just focus on the fact that despite having the option to offer federally insured loans and payback mechanisms since they filled the first class, they still have failed to do so. Even the better Caribbean schools do this!

Thanks so much for the information. I appreciate the help.

That's match list typical of a decent DO school, but inferior to pretty much all other private MD schools.
