Both UCLA-NPI and UCSD's PDs retired and were replaced by fantastic psychiatrists. I know them both personally and they're going to be great to train under.

Any idea how they feel about do's?
UCSD is my dream program...any tips to getting an interview? I've got a very solid app minus the DO thing.

UCSD under the former PD looked favorably on very strong IMGs. I have not seen DOs there in the past. Anyone's guess under new PD.

UCSD has traditionally had a DO every couple years. Sometimes through the match, sometimes through a PGY2 position.

Granted, I can only speak about my 4 years there, which would represent a group of 7 years of residents.
