ive gotten none, but only spplied to ucla, uci, and ucd. anyone get secondaries from these guys yet??

UCSD sent them out a week ago and UCLA did come out this weekend.
This isn't to say you won't get one. This probably just means you applied a bit later. No big deal. No other UCs have been received as of yet, except UCSF which confirmed receiving the AMCAS application. GL!
You guys who say you've gotten secondaries from UCSD and/or confirmation of application from UCSF - are you all CA residents? I'm not, and I haven't gotten a thing.

Actually, that's a good point. I would say it might be to Cali Res. HOWEVER, I really think it's just the date you submitted your AMCAS. Again, I wouldn't stress unless you're itchin' to do a secondary.
How about University of Spoiled Children? Any word from them?
P.S. I've also heard of "U Slant Eye" for UCI.

Did you guys receive an invite email from UCLA? I logged into my UCLA status website online and saw that I was invited to complete a secondary last Friday. I apparently didn't know about it until now, b/c they didn't notify me about this. Did this happen to anyone else??
Thank you very much for posting this. I checked the site today and the same thing happened to me. I was approved for a secondary on Friday and they never sent me an email! Thank goodness I'm neurotic! 🙂 Good luck!
so the only way to find out ucla's interested in us is through that status page? how lame that no email is sent....not that i should be choosy considering i would love to go there. anyway tho, what was the chronology for u guys in terms of when u applied, AMCAS receipt marked, and u found out about the secondary? also is anyone who got the secondary not in-state? thanks.
They emailed me when I was approved for a secondary so perhaps the system is either broken or out of sync.

No OOS decisions have been made yet that I know of.
All the UCs have been going by date of verification. I have heard of a few cases where people who were verified early and did not get it. I am hesitant to say they failed the screening, but it is possible. Only in state.
That's bad news for me. I'm OOS, verified around the same time, and still no word from UCLA. Does UCLA send out pre-secondary rejection letters at some point?

wow that's a pretty fast turnaround (esp if u are OOS)! did u receive notification of secondary invite through email or did u keep on checking the status page.

I got UCSD a while ago. I got UCLA on 7/20. I just got UC Irvine at 6pm last night pacific time. I am a California resident with middle of the bell curve stats. (But I'm really cute🙂 j/k
I got UCLA's secondary, but haven't heard from the other UCs that have secondaries out (UCI and UCSD I think?). I'm also a Cali res. with average stats, and I was verified fairly early (7/11), which I know is earlier than a lot of people who already got secondaries from UCI and UCSD...

Don't worry. I don't think peoples' chances always have to do with the exact time their applications move forward. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. Good luck.
UCs send their secondaries in batches. Don't worry if you don't get it immediately.
It only is worry-able if you have someone verified AFTER you. Their electronic stack is by submission/verification date. I wouldn't put emphasize too much worry as non-trads/oos/urm's may be considered at a later time.
How were you able to check your status online? Did they send you a link to it?
Yes, they sent me a link when they sent the initial email letting me know they received my AMCAS
thanks! My app was submitted like 5 days ago.. so it's not verified yet. Im assuming, UCLA wont look at it till its verified? unlike some other schools..

Hmm...well, like I said before, I definitely know that people verified after me have received screened secondaries that I haven't. But one thing I forgot to consider is that I'm a non-trad...I'm doing the Georgetown SMP. Could that have something to do with the delay? And if so, does anyone know why UCLA could have possibly overlooked that to give me their secondary? Sorry to pester with all these questions, just looking to put my mind at ease...😕
This doesn't mean they overlook you. 😛 Gosh. This means you are in another class to consider. You won't be part of the traditional batches. I'm sure you have NOT been thrown out, so do not worry. In addition, I would say you could be waiting towards the end of it. Unfortunately, traditional students are given somewhat of a priority. This does mean you can't go by your verification date for the UCs at least.
I'm a non-trad as well, and have gotten every UC secondary except UCSF (so far) I don't think trad students get preference over non-trads, really, if anything it might be the other way around ultimately when it comes to admissions, given the same stats.
No no no. I didn't mean it that way. I meant in the process of processing applications. I totally agree that Non-traditional have a much more favorable review. I just meant they may be put into a non-traditional pile that is reviewed differently outside of the verification trend.

My MCAT score isn't due out until Sep 5th, but I've gotten secondaries from nearly everywhere except the UC schools. I've submitted Cornell, Wash U, Jefferson, Baylor, and Hopkins and am sitting on Mt Sinai and USC. Are these schools waiting for my MCAT? Are they just appalled that I don't have a score yet?

UCs screen. They won't consider your primary complete and won't consider you for a secondary until your MCAT comes out.
