Last week I received my first acceptance to CUSM but just now was pulled off UVMs waitlist. I fell in love with CUSM during my interview in May, but prior to that, UVM was 100% my first choice. Essentially, I love both schools for a lot of the same reasons, flipped active learning curriculum, clinical years working with underserved populations, opportunities for global medicine and patient advocacy, etc. The biggest difference I guess is that CUSM is obviously a new school, but I think as a non-trad with a lot of work experience in different fields related to healthcare, I'd really have to opportunity to establish myself as a student leader and really make a mark by helping develop this new school. At the same time, I feel like it's stupid to forgo the opportunity to study at an already well-known established medical school with successful match rates.
Thoughts and opinions would be GREATLY appreciated. Hardest decision ever, though I am extremely thankful to have this problem
