Hi all, it's been brought to our attention that some of the links and information in the DOCTORAL APPLICANTS READ FIRST sticky thread were outdated or not functioning. I've done a once-over to update what links and information I initially could, and now I'm putting a call out to the community for additional input.

If there are threads you think would be useful for doctoral applicants to peruse, please feel free to link them here and we'll see about adding them to the sticky. Lots has been said since the sticky was created, and some of that might be helpful for applicants and potential applicants.

Additionally, if there are external links or other resources you think would be helpful, again, feel free to post them here.

If there is enough related to financial considerations, we may also create an entirely separate sticky for that, depending.

Thanks all.

Thanks for updating that thread. I would love to see a financial thread on this board, since it often comes up in discussions related to what programs to apply for/attend etc. I also wonder if that thread could also include financial considerations for post grad school (salary info, the oft requested info on starting your own practice and what to expect with that, etc). I’m sure there has been stuff posted already and when I have more time I will try to link to what’s been posted. But there is a lot of valuable knowledge from many posters on this board so it would be great to have a “central registry” of sorts. And even better if new users read it before posting
