Call from Western?

same here...they probably will send out another round of acceptances after the 15 days deposit deadline for the people who got acceptances on Feb. 15th.
are you on the alternate list pupsingh? I'm guessing they will start calling alternates after the second deposit deadline, which is April 15th.
80 alternates is alot! and only accept 4??!! who did you hear this from? people from western?
no what i did was, i made a new thread and in the subject line wrote " western alternate" and hit tab, and you know how it shows you relevant threads, and in one of them somebody posted some statistics but i think i may have mis analyzed them haha. but you should do that. the one that i clicked on was the one that had 39 replies. i think maybe only 4 got in refers to only 4 who post on sdn. lol
Did anyone hear anything from western yet? They just finished their 3rd round of acceptances, which their deposits were due yesturday (2/28). Is their class full yet? Anyone know if they are planning to add more interview dates?
They still have spots open. I'm assuming the next round of acceptances will be given out any day now..

I called them on the 15th and they said they will be offering more acceptances after the 15 days were up.
When you say your offer was rescinded, was it because you withdrew your acceptance or did not put the deposit?
when you say they are going to hand out more acceptances after the 15 day period, do those acceptances come from the previous round of interviews on applicants they havent made a decision on, or the alternate list? also, does anybody have any statistics on how full the class is at this point?
How's the movement of their alternate list? quick? slow?
dental8485 it seems like you and I are the only ones that are trying to find information about the alternate list. this is frustrating. But maybe that indicates that the alternate list isnt that long? I am just wondering if there is anything we can do to find something out. I thought about contacting the school by email but I dont want to be pushy and annoying. Sigh, its just so frustrating.
I called admissions yesturday regarding alternate list and couldn't really get an answer from them. They wouldn't tell me anything on how long the list is and how many spots are taken as of now. I hate this waiting! I agree with you pupsingh, it is frustrating! I hope the list is not too long as well.
I'm giving up my spot within the next few days (waiting for my acceptance packet to arrive to send in the deposit at another school) so hopefully one of the waitlists can take the spot 🙂

yes i think everyone who interviewed either got accepted or alternated. It would be great to know how many alternates there really are and it would be great to know how many alternates were offered admission from last year....maybe we can go on to last years facebook group and ask how many of them were alternates? haha

Yea, I also heard that some people still haven't heard anything from them yet after being interviewed. So, not everyone gets put on the alternate list.
