Do you guys typically call the schools to ask about your status? On one hand, the school might find you annoying b/c they have so many other callers. But on the other hand, they might see you really, really want to go to their school ... what do you guys think?

Always Always Always call the schools. There are plenty of times where they haven't 'checked' whether they've received all the materials you've sent them. I've called multiple schools who, on the phone, ended up saying "we haven't received your letters of rec...........ohh there they are". So its always a great idea to call.

I would absolutely call the schools. Just not everyday! I was told by one school that they had not started to schedule interviews just yet, but to check back in two weeks. I had originally called to ensure that my file was complete, and slipped in the interview scheduling question.
