Call to find out transcript/GRE status?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, I called all of mine. The only one that was snarky was CSU and she wouldn't tell me if my transcript/GRE got there because it will be available on their online portal October 26th. Seems silly but whatever.

Tennessee, Virginia-Maryland, Washington, Wisconsin, Edinburgh, and Glasgow were very sweet and helpful when I asked for status.

missouri says they have no way of checking on them until you submit your supplemental.

i have been able to call Tufts for everything. they are extremely nice and helpful.

Well, I sent an e-mail to VMRCVM a few days ago to check on my stuff and they didn't get back to me, so I called and they said to send an email! They are "being bombarded right now." I understand that, but I'd really like to not have to worry any more!

(And so does everyone else, that's why they're bombarded!)

Unless the admissions folks at UCDavis have drastically changed in the last two years, calling them will only get you a "you'll get an email about this before the end of the year."

Called or e-mailed all of mine a few weeks ago to check, and all were quick to respond. Penn, Wisconsin, NC State, and Mississippi will help you out, and Missouri will tell you they'll confirm everything for you in November.

My checks were cashed, so I atleast know my supplementals, transcripts and $$ got there!

Do you know who you emailed at Penn? I sent an email early last week to the general admissions email address and haven't heard from them. Their phone lines have been busy every time I have called also. I am being to feel like some sort of stalker. 😛

Okay, so after two emails and a phone call to VMRCVM I got a reply and they did get everything! Yay! It's so good to not have to worry about my application any more.🙂

(Although someone just found a missed word on my personal statement that I submitted a while ago. 🙁 I'd rather not know now that I can't do anything about it!)

Penn was one of the ones that I sent an e-mail to but didn't hear back. I gave a call after a week or so and was able to check that way. I'm sure they're swamped with calls, but if you're persistent, they're very helpful!

I'd just like to add a 👍 for Kansas. If all schools were like KSU and sent unsolicited emails to let us know they have everything we wouldn't barrage them with phone calls and emails!

Western was really good about that too. Got an email when they received my supplemental, and another when they received my VMCAS.

I called the places that sent the things to make sure they got there.. I think because my first choice is Ohio and they say NOT to ask them about whether your application materials are there.

Good thing I did, because two transcripts didn't get sent!

So here's a similar question: I sent all my transcripts, supplemental fees, etc in one priority mail with delivery confirmation to each school. If I know they received it, and most have already cashed the check, do I harass them? What's the chance they will have lost one of the five transcripts that were delivered in one envelope?

Am I obsessing? Yeah, I'm obsessing. I do that sometimes- alot. (Sigh)

Amen to that!

crittergal-I would harass them about your GRE score or something, then-by the way-ask if they got everything else?
