So according to the UCSF website, they email people when they have recieved their secondary apps and NOT to call them because of the sheer volume of secondaries they recieve.

The problem is that I sent my secondary off two and a half weeks ago in the mail (postman said it shouldnt take more than three days to get to san fran) and haven't gotten any emails from them. So should I call them just to make sure they have it or would it be pointless/annoy them?

On a seperate note, this is EXACTLY why I think actually mailing something as important as apps is a terrible idea. We're in the digital age now. I don't see why this all can't be done on a computer like the Midwestern or ASDOH's secondaries. Just my two cents.

have you checked with your bank if your check (for secondary app fee) has been cleared ;-)

idk cashed check doesnt necessarily mean that they received your app since your fee card/check and app went to separate addresses.... r

Where did you see this? This is all I read on their website in regards to application status:

Please do not contact the school to inquire about the status of your application. Due to the large number of applications received, we are unable to respond to these inquiries. Applicants may check the status of their application on the AADSAS website.

Maybe I just didn't read over the web page carefully enough. I submitted my secondary about 3 weeks ago and I haven't received a confirmation e-mail either, so I REALLY hope that I wasn't supposed to get one.

I don't remember reading anywhere that said we'd get an email when they received our secondary.

They cashed my check, so I'm just assuming the next email I get from UCSF is either an interview invite or rejection.
