Hi Vermonter's

Could say how long it took from the time your app was being reviewed to when you heard about an interview? Also could you post stats, I'm a 3.3 science cum, (with 3.6 science upward trend in upper division classes, in the last 2 years) 27Q MCAT trying to see if I'm in the ball park, also what kind of EC's you have.

Thanks

Hey F/A-18,
I just received an invite to interview at UVM last week--app was complete since August. Here's what US News says about them:

Ave GPA: 3.5
MCAT: 9.3V, 9.3P, 9.8B, Q

They're a little xenophobic, but since only 64 in-staters applied last year (32 interviewed, 25 accepted), they have to take out-of-staters like me (4,932 applied, 478 int, 232 accepted).

Good luck,

-Blue Skies

secondary finished by early september
interviewed early november
accepted a couple weeks ago!! yehh!!

have hope - I'm an out-of stater with an "okay" mcat/gpa but I lucked out and had a great interview. Good luck!!

secondary in first week of september.
interviewed second week of october.
accepted 12/10.
out-of-state applicant (CA).
gpa = to their avg. gpa, mcat >> than their avg mcat.

just like mass51, i had a great interview. it was a hallmark moment, and i wholeheartedly attribute that to my out-right acceptance.

best of luck to ya F/A!

Hi!

Does anybody know about the waitlist at UVM?

I'm on it and am out-of-state. UVM is my #1 choice and I'm curious how many people are accepted off the list.

Any information would be awesome. Thanks.

my app was complete whenever they got my august mcat scores (mid-late october). i got their interview offer in the mail on 11/14.

ugrad gpa - 3.7
grad gpa - 3.9
9V 9P 9B, M

Thanks guys for the responses.

My secondary was just returned to Vermont and the lady I spoke with said it was already being reviewed. I don't want to get too excited, but I guess I thought that might be a good sign, but you never know what to think. The lady I spoke with this morning said I was competitive. Vermont is my number 1 choice , I want to go there so bad. I now it's hard to second guess but do you think this could be a sign that they are interested?

hi all,

does anyone know if vermont actually rejects post interview. another poster wrote that vermont intervies someling like 450 and accepts 232. Does anyone have any further breakdown regarding whether people get rejected post interview or how many students get waitlisted. thanks

If they interview 450 and accept 232, it sounds like they do reject post-interview.

And they love Californians. There's nearly as many of us from CA as there are from VT. Good luck.
