calling for status after complete...

I'm sure there is a thread like this already, but i'm lazy and don't want to search for it...

anyway, i've been complete at most of my schools for at least a month...are any of the schools friendly enough to answer the question of "what's the status of my application as far as being considered for an interview?"

I could just wait like normal people...but dammit, i'm impatient. haha...

I'm ready to to the adcoms...

just did that....and they told me they just decided to invite me for an interview! yay...my first! (august mcater)
so i'm sure if they know, they will most likely let you know as well....good luck with everything!

go ahead and do it, especially if you have an interview in one city and you're trying to combine trips (its worked twice for me before). At worst, the admissions secretary might snap at you, and he or she has no say in your application.

I just called all my schools and most have told me to either call/e-mail in the next couple of weeks to see if it has been reviewed or told me when they actually start interview (apparently some schools start interviews much later...i.e. some of my state schools). Some schools were stupid and just told me that "my file is complete and will be under consideration from now until april." great huh? anyway, i'll probably wait another week and a half or so before i begin the phone calls again.

I've noticed that some schools are very receptive and take the time to find out for you.....and others will say they pre-rehearsed answer of..."you should hear in a couple of weeks"..... which has come and gone.... lol
