Calling for status updates?

I want to call schools, but are there any schools that do not like it if you call and ask them what your application status is? I am worried because I only got one interview and applied to 19 schools. I heard that there are some schools that absolutely do not want you calling

Call them up! Sometimes you'll be placed on hold for that school for a specific reason and won't ever know until you call them up. I had several holds due to my DAT not being high enough. I was told it was good, but not high enough to get an interview, or low enough to get a rejection. They asked if I would retake the test and if so I should let them know. I found out so much about my app and how to improve my chances just by calling them up. I say screw those school who give you a hard time. They don't deserve you as a student and you don't need them if they treat you that way. Call dude! It is the only way you'll know what the hold up is on your app for those schools. Good luck 👍
