Just wondering your thoughts on calling programs if you haven't heard from them yet. Good? Bad?

thanks.

It depends. There are programs that don't want you emailing them or calling them to find out about your application status. In other words, they're saying, "Don't call us, we'll call you." Other programs may not mind so much. I think you're probably better off just checking MyERAS or your email every day to find out if you got new invites.

It's barely Nov 1st. I received 1000+ MSPE's today!

I would give it at least 2 weeks. If you haven't heard by Nov 10th or so, then a nice gentle reminder seems reasonable.

Emailing now is unlikely to generate any bad outcome, just a "we are reviewing applications" generic response.

If you're trying for a hypercompetitive field, then I guess being more aggressive seems reasonable (as people mention that interview spots fill in minutes)
