I was curious if anyone knew whether it was a common standard to have to call most schools to find out your application status or if Wake Forest is just the exception?

I called today and found out that I am in the "top interview pool" at Wake but I wouldn't have found this out until December had I not called becuase all their current interview slots are full. And I know that many people hear about their status at Wake once they call. Should I call the other schools that I am complete at as well to check my application status?

I turned down an interview from them today, so one of their "slots" should be opened. As for calling the other schools, I don't see how it would hurt, unless they have a no call policy like Rush.

It doesn't hurt to call. Last year at my state school people were reporting that they were offered interviews within 48 hours of when they called to check their status. I did the same thing and guess what.....I had an interview invite the next day. ::shrug::
