Calling the School

Has anyone called a pharmacy school to see if you got an interview? It has been almost three weeks and I have not received any notification yet for an interivew. Is it too early or should I wait another week? By the way, the school operates on a rolling admissions.

I don't recommend doing that... They need time to process everything and the admissions committee probably only meets at least twice a month (could be more but i don't know). They will contact you for an interview and should let you know if you have not been selected. It's tough to wait but that's how it is and just be patient... I submitted my applications in August and still have not heard from one of the schools...

I applied on september and still have not heard anything from couple schools. So don't worry and I called them last week and they told me wait till march. That would be six month of waiting :0

I haven't called, but I'm still waiting for a majority of the schools to get back to me. I've pretty much been stalking my email like nonother.

I did not realize people had to wait so long. Thanks for your input. I just hope I get a response eventually and I do not have to wait aimlessly and reapply next year.

Since you are on rolling admissions, what you can do is send a very brief e-mail asking to verify that your application is complete. You don't want to find out two months later that the reason your app wasn't considered was because you were missing one thing.

I wouldn't call. I applied in September and haven't heard yet either. Also, I have a friend in Pharmacy school that didn't get an interview until March and then got accepted in April, so hang in there.

this whole waiting process is driving me crazy as well.....I applied to Rutgers Pharm dec. 1, and still haven't gotten a reply from that school....

I am sure the application is complete because I can check the status of my application online using tracking number they gave me in the mail. It was complete 1/9. I have heard on here that some people have received responses within two weeks regarding an interview. I just wish to know asap on whether they think my application is worth an interview. I admire everyone's patience in waiting for the final verdict.

I agree.

Send and e-mail then follow up with a phone call if necessary.

Many times, the people in the admissions office have too many applications to know but some schools are nice.
