Read on another thread someone called their state school letting them know that hey would be able to fill in any last minute interview cancellations. This is something I would be willing to do for my state schools. Should I let them know? I feel kind of iffy on this. I don't want to hurt my application in any way.

I think the answer on the thread you're referring to was a resounding "no".

Okay thanks. I didn't see anyone say it wasn't ok but I think I do agree with you. It does feel weird but I really would be willing to scurry to a med school's beck and call at the drop of a dime.

If they wanted to interview you, they'd send you an invite.

Dont do it man! Just wait out the cycle. If they want to bring you in they will, and it's still really early for IIs.

My experience with a nearby IS school is them asking if I can fill in last minute on an interview when I had already been scheduled for later.
