When is the best time to visit a campus and see if you could talk to a counselor or some one.. I called a couple of schools and they told me that it was not a good time due to the interview, acceptance and rejection activities going on.. that was back in december -- Do you guys things have kind of died out on campus yet? since most of you already know your faith for the 07 cycle.

you can actually talk to a dental school counselor?

It varies depending on the school...

UCSF doesn't start it's new academic year until october, so early september is a good time to visit since students will be on campus to give you tours but the school isn't overwhelmed with all the orientation stuff for the new crop of students.

Other schools like Arizona or UOP start in July, so late May or early June is a good time to visit and still see dental students in action (but not in the middle of finals yet).

I think May would be a generally good time to visit...or early june. after that, you would be risking interupting finals. Also, most schools are still quite busy with interviews. Interviewing doesn't really cool down completely until March. Just cause a bunch of over-achieving SDner have heard back from schools, is by no means a sign that schools are done with interviews or acceptances.

Thanks for the headsup djeffreyt....

CHGA... the 3 schools in the NYC areas where nice when i called-- though I only spoke to the adm-assistants 🙂
