Can a high step 2 score truly make up for a below-average step 1 score?

Hello all,

so i've made a number of posts lately and its true i'm very confused about the specialty i will be applying to.

at this point, the most likely specialty seems to be IM.

I have a 215 on my step 1. yes i messed up on that test.

i can only work really really hard to make sure my step 2 score breaks 240

but i'm wondering
would that be enough? for a place like Boston?

please anyone with personal experience in applying to Boston reply.
any programs that i will automatically be screened out of with the 215?
how much would an acting internship help?
