Can a board certified radiologist operate an MRI machine or do you need to be a tech to run the machine? I'm not talking about ability to run the thing but in terms of being allowed to.

Why on earth would you want to run an MRI machine?

Not sure how a boarded Rad would not be allowed to run a machine, given that we are responsible for its QA...

The bigger question is if anyone knows how. I am very familiar with Siemens consoles but other manufacturers use different parameters so you’d need to get used to them.

Lets say you own a center and your therapist calls in sick. I'm just making up a scenario.
