Everytime I call NOVA and dial the 1127 extension, I get an answering machine!!

Has anyone else been able to contact them??

THanks guys!

Also, for those of you who haven't heard back from places yet, what have you been doing? calling them weekly? e-mails? letter? is there anything we can do?? I don't want to annoy them though....especially if they are keeping track of how many times we call....so any suggestions??

sometimes i can get in touch with them really fast, sometimes it can take a day or two after leaving a message. email works the same way. you just have to be steadfast.

good luck! :luck:

its really hard to get in touch with them..just be persistent

I found their admissions office to be helpless!!!

I haven't had too much trouble getting a hold of them. Most of the time, I had to leave a message, but they responded within a day or two. I guess the thing to do is to keep trying... 😳

It's hard getting in touch with them!!! and once you do...they'll tell you to go to WEBSTAR!!! where none of your questions or concerns will be answered. So, becareful about this. Keep on calling, and once you get through, don't let them refer you to webstar. The best way to get answers to your questions is to talk to a live person, not webstar or answering machine.

I agree, I haven't been able to speak with anyone regarding my status. They keep telling me to check the website which tells me absolutely nothing!
Does anyone know what status: "decision pending" means? Does it mean I'm in the waitlisted pile or are they still waiting for my file to be complete with LORs, etc. I've tried calling to ask and have yet to speak with someone!!

NSUCOM invites ppl for interviews if their file is incomplete..but tells them what they are missing AT the interview..This can be bad depending on when you interview..Because the adcoms meet every other week..if you interview right before they meet And are still incomplete..then you have virutally no chance of getting in..because they say it reflects poorly on your part..But if you interview right after the adcoms meet..you have enough time to send in all your stuff..when they meet again and decide on who to admit, etc...Good luck everybody

Any idea when they met last?

If they invite for interviews before your file is complete, does this mean that "decision pending" means I'm in the waiting pile??

I have no idea ...i got accepted back in the beginning of december...maybe someone who interviewed more recently can have a better chance of telling you when the adcoms meet...(holidays could have thrown off the scheduling)...and i have no idea what decision pending means..but i wouldnt trust webstar...I have been admitted already..and my status says "please contact admissions dept"...if i were you I would just wait patiently..or call to make sure your file is complete...and make sure they do not just look it up on webstar...

They usually email you to let you know what your status of your app (whats missing..or wats complete)..if you have just recently sent in the secondary..wait a little longer and see what happens

Were you accepted? If so, congrats!!

I actually called today and spoke with someone (who was very, very nice, by the way) that at this point in the game, they need all documents in my file before they will review it for an interview. I'm still waiting on one LOR. So, I guess I'll just keep praying!

So I paid my deposit to NSUCOM back in the beginning of January...and after a long month I finally received the invoice for it. I, too, have Webstar saying "please contact admissions office"...so with all this weighed, it's safe to say that they are probably pretty busy. so patience is key with them...just make sure everything is done on your part and keep updated with the school. I did contact them about the whole WebStar thing and why the status hasn't been updated...turns out at this point in the cycle, if you want to interview/recieve acceptance, files have to be complete...and if you have already been accepted, deposits have to be cleared by a certain dept and then finally after passing through a few hands, Webstar will change. 🙄

I interviewed with NOVA on 1/20 and was accepted on 2/27. But U are right their admissions office is disorganised and rude ; when U get through. The website does not really say much. "decision pending" means they have not made up their mind and probanly lost your application!! This school is not worth it even though they are located in South Florida. I had a DO interview me. He was soooo rude and I am surprised I was accepted.
