Hey so im an MS1 at NYU med, and I have this job working as a teaching assistant and afterschool specialist (which basically means i teach the afterschool class) at a school in Harlem, NY. This job is consuming me fully. I have been able to get by because our lectures are on itunes and i dont actually have to attend them, and i had a pretty extensive undergrad education, but i can only go on like this for so much longer. I am looking for another job and was wondering what everyone else is doing besides taking out massive amounts of loans to finance their education. I grew up in the East Villiage in lower Manhattan, and got into NYU, which is walking distance from my parents house. Naturally, i live at home because i figure im not in medicine to make the big bucks, ill probably end up working where im needed, so i might as well take out as little in loans as possible, ya know....that fact coupled with a decent scholarship has me thinking i may be able do to this RELATIVELY debt free...any ideas out there people? thanks...
BTW if there are any Brooklyn tech or RPI alum out there...what up!!
