If a solution which is 0.50 M in compound
X decomposes for 5.0 minutes at an
average rate of 0.040 M min-1, the new
concentration of X will be?

Answer is 0.3 M but I didn't get it...

I would b appreciate it if anyone help me out~!

simple math.

it decomposes at a rate of 0.04M/min for 5 mins, so a total of .2M is gone after 5 mins. .5-.2 = 0.3M left.
