I applied about 10 schools this year, got only one interview, and got waitlisted 🙁. Looks like there is lack of waitlist movement according to the last year's threads.. so I decided to reapply for the next cycle.

I'm a Canadian applicant and graduated in 2009. I know I should upgrade my application but I'm not sure what to do.

My total GPA is 3.4/3.4 (but my courseload for each semester is not that much b/c of lots of extracurricular activities.. usually 8~12 credits)

My DAT score (second time):
AA 19
Bio 20
GC 18
OC 19
RC 20
QR 17
PAT 20

Should I retake DAT or upgrade my gpa? I was planning to retake DAT after I reapply in June, but I'm also worried about my gpa especially my courseload. Do schools really care about the courseload when they review my application? I'm worried because they might think that I would not be able to handle when I get in. If this really matters, should I take more courses by doing post-bacc? Is it bad if I don't continue my education since graduation and just reapply with upgraded DAT score?

Hi there, I am Canadian too and from my own experience and what I have read on here, I would say do a Masters or a post bacc in the states in the fall, apply early this round and get AA 22+ on DAT, and don't get off track. If something doesn't work out, keep doing it. If you get a mediocre DAT mark, rebook right away! Persistance and focus is key. I would also stick to a full time course load. I think some schools care and some don't, I would ask around. Good luck!
