Can anyone tell me more about BCSE and CPE exams?

I was hoping to get some more info about these two qualifying exams. I know that one is very $$ and that you have to put your name on a list to take them. Does anyone know how long you would typically have to wait to take the exams and can you tell me anything about their difficulty? (pass/fail rate for example). Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid I might have to go that route if my apps to accredited schools don't come through! Thanks!

I might not be that much help, since I took the PAVE instead of the ECFVG. But here's a website that might answer some of your questions about it.

I don't know anyone personally who has taken it, my friends will take it next year at the end of their 4th year. But from what I heard, the waiting list can get long and may be up to a year.

As you mentioned, it's not cheap, it's about $6000-$8000. I'm not sure if traveling is included in that estimate. It's three days long, and if you fail a certain part of the test, you can just pay and retake that specific part.
