Can aspirin help with frostbite?

This is probably a dumb question but, you know, in a wildlife emergency situation in the absence of professional medical care.

I'm thinking by improving blood flow to the affected extremities and generally controlling inflammation, not to mention the analgesic effect. Would it help?

Decreasing platelet count isn't going to make a bit of difference when the skin has been exposed to subfreezing temperatures. Frostbite doesn't occur due to lack of blood flow by the way.

Food for thought but I don't foresee that making any difference at all in that scenario.

TPA has a frostbite indication thou - I think it is more that is helps with the healing
