Can experiences in July before school start this August be reported on ERAS application?

I have ample free time this month before class starts in August to explore different experiences like shadowing a physician in the specialty, volunteering, or doing per-diem at my previous gap year-job. However I'd like to know if this is worth it and I can report it on my ERAS application? I may prefer to just enjoy some time off if not.

If the experience is relevant to the specialty you choose, you can mention it on the ERAS application. Shadowing is not likely to be helpful, as it would be trumped by the clinical experience you acquire during rotations in that area (though it could be cited as part of your path to [XXX] specialty).
