I've been fortunate enough to be accepted to med school (DO), but have been traveling quite a bit the last several months for interviews while also trying to keep up on my school work. If I am a 3.6 student and I end up with 2 As, 2Bs, and 1 C will I be in danger of having my acceptance revoked?

I don't believe that would happen. @Goro ?

No unless your acceptance letter said something specific to maintain a certain GPA or get a certain grade or grades. I've seen it happen before.

I hope it would be more likely for one to have an acceptance revoked for being hyper neurotic.

You are right. One thing I can tell everyone right now, that after being in med school for a term (nearly), folks dont like hyper-neurotic, anal, super type A, anxious personalities. It doesnt go well with classmates, or professors.

Yeah, but you're describing every single medical student ever.

Just make sure that your acceptance letter doesn't stipulate any requirements. Mine only says to get at least a C in my last pre-req and to graduate. I can get D minuses and still graduate and go to med school as long as I get that C. (Obviously extreme example, I am definitely not going to get any D minuses)

Maybe. But medical school is hard enough that it humbles you out, wouldnt you agree to a point? I think we are going off topic from the OP.

Medial school does humble you. In the beginning of the semester, gunners were everywhere. They didn't talk to you nor help you. After the first set of exams, they became more open and helpful....... and no longer sit in the front rows. hahah.

So far, based on my observations...... i have divided the class of gunners into

a) The loner shooter
> The typical behavior of a gunner
b) The Silent Parasite
>A new subclass, these are the students who thrive off the knowledge of others. These are the students who play dumb and don't say much. They are always around the smart kids who enjoy "teaching" and/or sharing their resources, knowledge, and mnemonics. Ask these gunners to teach you, they will pretend to not know anything.

I poke fun at the gunners in my class. I always ask them if they're going to the ammo store later 😛

So kind of jumping off of what the OP was asking ...hypothetically for someone who is accepted and still has two semesters left of school, do grades matter anymore (besides any unfinished prereqs)? Someone told me that one should one not stray more than a .1 from the GPA they applied with (for example someone has a 3.4, they can't go below a 3.3) idk if this is true or not ?

You just described 90% of every medical school class.
