Hello,

I am a post-bacc student, was an English major, and graduated with a UGPA of 3.4. Now I am in post-bacc, and have a 3.5 so far with many more courses to go. I have not taken the MCAT. I am doing clinical research and am writing a paper that will be submitted for publication with me as second author. How do my stats look--are they too low for any MD/PhD programs?

Also, does anyone know anything specific about Case Western's MD/PhD program's stats?

Thanks!

I'd be more concerned with the extent of your academic coursework rather than your grades so far. I dont know of any non-science MD/PhDs doing science PhDs. You mention that you're taking post-bacc classes, but unless you intend to practically do a B.A (or B.Sc) in some science all over - I think you've got a tough road ahead. How do you like the clinical research you're doing now? (Flame suit zipped 😛 ) If you'd really like to do clinical research in the future it might be easier and faster and probably better (in the sense that you'll be a better clinician) to just do an MD.
Cheers

Good thing you put your anti-flame suit on... 😀
