Can i avoid a gap year? PLEASE HELP

So i'm starting my masters this January and applying for dental school this summer. I will continue my SMP next september. Do you think i can avoid a gap year the following year? Would my first semester marks be sufficient to be offered an interview?

I wouldn't worry about a gap year. Use it to save some extra money or better yet... go travel and have some fun man.
