Can I be a dentist and also be part of this hobbies?

I'm a pre dental student and really want to be a dentist. But I also enjoy doing things for the world. In the past years I participate in volunteer programs national and abroad that were about human rights, wildlife and environmental conservation. Can I work with this sometimes in a year while I do dentistry? I also want to travel and help people in undeserved countries to have oral health procedures, especially with children. Can I achieve all this as a dentist? Thank you.

Yes, there are many programs that allow you to volunteer your time domestically and internationally. A google search will yield a variety of great programs with calendars, mission details, photo galleries, etc.
