In college, I did semester long research for credit. It was field research with a local fire department. I was studying how emergency responders deal with stress. I am applying in Emergency Medicine. Would it be wise to include this on my app?

I definitely would. Unless you researched how they bought prostitutes' services to relieve their stress, it could only help your app.
