Hey everyone, I am already enrolled in my first year bachelor degree design program, but my interest for medicine has sparked again. Becoming a doctor was my original plan, but I came to the realization that math and science clearly was not my forte. I could study for hours and days and only pull a 70-75% on a bio, chem, or math test. Physics is a little easier - 80% lol. My work ethic is not a problem, I'm just not good at it. This is why I settled for something I am good at - being creative, drawing, designing. Although, I see this more as a hobby for me, which is why I am turning back to medicine. Has anyone struggled with sciences in high school, and was able to make it into medical school? How can I make it into med school, and when do I know that it is not for me? Thank you ahead of time!

I got a C in physics in high school and got an A in college. You need to do whatever it takes study-wise to get as many A's as you can in college.

High school is not really indicative of undergraduate success/failure in my opinion. You should dip your toes in some science courses as a freshman and see how you like it. Much of early college is trying to figure out how you study best and what piques your interest. The difficult part here is keeping your grades up at the same time

High school is 100% not indicative of college success.

Teaching 1000+ undergrad. students and personal experiences have taught me this.
