So I took my first DAT on saturday ( feb 1st) and I did not do well at all. I know what I need to improve on and how to tackle a retake. I am aware that I will need to retake the DAT before I apply to dental school for sure but my question is: do I need to retake it to get into a masters program?? My current oGPA is 3.1 and I plan to raise it at least .1 more by the end of the semester, I am graduating in the spring. The programs I am looking at include UMDNJ MBS with the Dental Scholars Program, BU MAMS Oral Health Sciences track, Tufts MBS, Midwestern MA, and possibly the Interdisciplinary Masters at Roswell Park in Buffalo and maybe a masters in bio at UB (my undergraduate school). Ok so now for my awful scores:
PAT: 19
QR: 15 <--- ran out of time
RC: 24
BIO: 18
GC: 18
OC: 16 <-- need way more practice on this and gen chem, should have spent less time trying to go over material and more time practicing
TS: 17 gahhhh
AA: 18

What should I doooo? I dont know if its worth it to retake and use up my second DAT if I could get in as is. Thanks for any help

Hmmm. I think you can get into a masters program, but it depends on the school. You should start looking now, because the classes are getting full at this moment for the fall.
