i have a GPA of 3.13
I have over 500 hours as a Pharmacy Technician
score of 78 percentile on my PCAT
Also, instead of my senior year of high school i went to Clarkson University(essentially started my Pre-Pharm a year early)

what do you guys think? is that good enough to get me into a pharmD program?

In the past before the diploma mills - it would be dicey.

Now, you shouldn't have a problem.

Make sure being a pharmacist is what you really want to do. Also be careful if your only acceptance offers are from the private institutions that charge mad money for tuition. Make sure you will get a worthwhile ROI.

In before move!

Anyways, it would help you out to go to your state school since they accept mainly people who are in-state.

How do ECs look in terms of clubs and volunteering? Your hours in pharmacy, are all of them in one setting or a mix of settings?

Maybe try to up the PCAT to the 80+ percentile since you are really close.

Also, do you have a bachelors/finishing one up? A 3.13 isn't bad for someone with a few years of college vs just pre-reqs; if you only have chems and bios for pre-reqs then maybe try to get a few more done?

I started out as a Chemical Engineer so I have 3 semesters of those courses, my first year i didnt do to well but retook 3 D+ courses and replaced all with A's. Last semester i had a 3 with courses that arent pre-reqs ecxept ochem which i got a B.

my EC: National Honor Society in HS and tons of sports, in college im in 3 or so clubs mildly active. pharmacy hours so far were in same setting but i can change if that is better?

and pcat, i thought about that but have heard that the more that you retake the worse it looks, is that true?

You have a good chance!!!

You can get in to one of the new schools (the ones that have been open 5 years or less!) I promise, this is the truth my friend got accepted to pharmacy school with a 2.2 GPA and the school requirement was at least 2.5 ...! These days it seems like anything is possible!

You're still a youngin. You haven't even hit 1000 posts yet.:meanie:

lawl, that is true. I know I'm not at 1k posts yet but I haven't even been here 6 months yet either.

I'll devote my 1k post to you delano and thank you for egging me into posting 1000 times on this forum rather than study for pharmacy school.

Ah yeah, including half-million dollar weddings and $45,000 rings.
