I know this is going to sound a bit obnoxious, but could anyone from here weigh in on a thread I have in school specific discussions? I just doubt many who aren't pre-med are looking at it (which is true from the responses so far at least - mostly pre-med). I'm weighing Stanford vs my state school (medical college of georgia) and I'd really appreciate some input.

yeah, i read your other posts, and this seems like a backhanded way to avoid a TOS violation, but I think it still violates it. (posting same thread in multiple forums)

I've never read a post and thought, wow this kid should go to the more expensive school...until now. It's not a lot of money difference for a big name difference.

But everything you write does seem to indicate you really dont wanna go to cali. so just stay in georgia, stay near your family. it's important to be happy.

I think OP wants to go to Cali, but is griping over the extra debt. Griping seems to be what SDN is about... 80% of the time.

It all depends what you want to specialize in. If you just want to be a family practice doctor in Georgia, Stanford is a waste of money. If you want to be a dermatologist, you better pick Stanford.

I went to my state school and I am sooooo happy to have very minimal debt as a result.
