I've recently been diagnosed with ADD. I'm somewhat relieved because I'd say I'm very intelligent, but I've been having problems with succeeding in classes and have a little over a 3.0 gpa. My BCPM gpa is slightly lower. I am positive that I want to pursue a career in medicine and I've just completed my 2nd year of college. I'm not planning on applying to med school until the spring of my senior year.
If I can drastically improve my grades over the next two years, will my past poor performance be less of an issue? Should I mention the ADD to explain my grades in my application?
