can I join med school with these grades?

its my first year and I still didnt take organic chemistrey or gen bio 2
my grades are
general chemistrey 1: B
general chemistrey 2: D
general biology 1: D
my grades are bad cause of being lazy and procrastnating a lot but thank god I changed my method in the last 2 weeks of my summer semester
I did great at the finals for gen chem 2 and gen bio 1 but wasnt enough to raise my grade that much cause pretty much I missed up the whole semester
anyways, do I need to retake these classes or its fine if I do good at the rest of my classes?

Retake because most med schools set C as their minimum grade requirement for pre-reqs.

You have to retake, although the bad grades will also be included in your GPAS. Your days of getting low grades is over. Try for As in every class and see where you are in a couple of years. Good luck.

As everyone else said, retake them. You’re early on in college, if you retake with A’s and consistently do better you’ll be ok. I got a C in physics II as a junior. Retook with a B. Had a couple other science B’s. Got into Med school on early admissions with an average MCAT, ended up graduating second in my class and marched into ortho at a top program from a state Med school. A couple bad grades aren’t a death sentence just bust your butt from here on out.
