I'm planning on joining an academic honor society, I think it's a frat. If I do, can I list this in my application for medical schools?

Would it be bad if I list it in my application? I know it won't impress any ADCOM, but would it be looked down upon?

It's just something you join. It won't hurt you. But from a non-JustWantingToGetIntoMedSchoolPrespective, it's a waste of time

You can list anything you want in your application.

you can list it. it wont hurt you. the majority of adcoms just wont really care unless you dedicate significant time to it

The only honor society that might impress Adcoms based on membership alone is Phi Beta Kappa (invite only, top ~1% of class). Even that doesn't say much about you that your GPA doesn't. Otherwise, it's more what you do with the group that counts.
