Hi guys, so I have my MCAT this saturday (8/23) and I do not feel as prepared as I would like to. I know I am way past the deadline but can I still cancel. Will it show if I cancel and will it count as an attempt? Also, can I cancel this exam and sign up for the september test date? Thanks!

I know I am way past the deadline but can I still cancel. No, the last day to cancel would have been 8/13

Will it show if I cancel and will it count as an attempt? Whether you go to the test and take it then void it, or just "no-show", it will show up as one of your attempts. It usually takes about 24 hours for the registration system to update your account showing you took or missed an exam. After that you can register for any available appointment. Remember you can only register for one exam at a time.
Also, can I cancel this exam and sign up for the september test date? Thanks! No, it is too late to cancel.
You will probably have to wait until 8/24 or 8/25 to be able to register for another test.

I see from your other posts that you are planning to apply in 2026-2027, not this cycle. Retake the test when you feel ready, or apply to schools within the range of your current MCAT score as advised in your prior post.

Thank you for the advice. Since I can't cancel the exam anymore, I should just take it and see how I do. If I dont score where I want, retake it again. There is not any other options right?

Your other option is just to not go to the exam. They will mark you absent (no-show) and there will be no score associated with the date.
That would actually be "better" than going to the test half-heartedly and seeing a lower score than before.

You can also take the exam and void it, espcially if you definitely feel you weren't prepared or something threw you off.
Let's say I got my exam scored because I felt good about it but actually did not end up doing that well. Will me as an reapplicant taking the mcat for the third time look bad? My saturday attempt this week is my 2nd attempt. I saw many people on reddit and sdn say that it might a disadvantage if I retake it 3 or more times.
